Connecting Devices Automatically

The Automatic Detection feature enables devices without domain to use the AudioCodes Services default domain to automatically connect devices to Live Platform. When devices are connected to the power supply in the enterprise network and/or are rebooted and initialized, they're automatically detected and added to the Service Provider tenant. Upon connection Live Platform automatically determines the devices  firmware version and the Service Provider domain configured in the tenant settings (see Adding Service Provider Tenants). For example, 'sandbox1.finebak.com'. They're then added to the matching tenant. The SBC devices must be configured to send coldStart (after device reset) and keep-alive traps (sent every 30 seconds by default) to Live Platform server. When devices are added, Live Platform recognizes them according to their field 'sysDesc' and serial number, and according to the entries in the database. A device's default name comprises the router's IP address and the port number. The NAT sometimes changes device IP address and port. Live Platform recognizes these changes after devices are reset.

In Day Two, when adding multiple devices, all devices are attached to the selected service. When the device sends Keep-alive messages to Live Platform, its detected according to its serial number and attached to the configured service. Auto-detected devices are added to the Auto-detection region under the relevant Service Provider tenant. HTTP/SNMP parameters are configured for the Service Provider tenant (see Adding Service Provider Tenants). When device serial number is not found, devices are added under the domain of the relevant Service Provider tenant .

Ensure you enable the parameter 'Enable the FQDN Support For Auto-Detection' (see Global Configuration) to enable this method.
For Hybrid Services, after connecting devices using this method, additional configuration is required. For example attaching a device to a service (see Step 2- Configure SBC Device to connect to Live Platform).
Live Platform can automatically add up to 255 devices at a time after SNMP credentials and other device settings are configured and functioning correctly.
